For "The Inside Shore" I chose the idea of the 'delirious' narrative. I was interested in the model of the nineteenth-century adventurer, a protagonist not unlike Joseph Conrad's Lord Jim: someone who out of circumstance faces questions of estrangement and re-invention. The viewer is presented with an environment both distinctly familiar and exotic.
